RDI Technologies Wins Vision Systems Design 2020 Innovators Awards

RDI Technologies

Knoxville, TN, June 16, 2020 – RDI Technologies, a machine vision-based sensing company pioneering the camera as the sensor of the future announced today that its Iris CM™ was recognized among the best in machine vision today by the judges of the Vision Systems Design 2020 Innovators Awards program. The judging panel consisted of esteemed experts from system integrators and end-user companies.

“The Vision Systems Design team would like to congratulate RDI Technologies for their score in the 2020 Innovators Awards program,” says John Lewis, Editor in Chief. “Each year this unbiased and increasingly competitive program aims to celebrate the most innovative products and systems in machine vision. The RDI team should be very proud.”

The Iris CM

The Iris CM from RDI Technologies is the latest innovation in video-based asset condition monitoring. With the Iris CM, Motion Amplification® is no longer just a point in time troubleshooting tool. It is a multi-camera solution that continuously monitors your equipment while you are away.  This tool connects traditional accelerometers and RDI’s patented video-based vibration measurement to ensure you never miss anything in your plant. All cameras can be linked to collect simultaneous data to offer multiple views of a process or piece of machinery and can store up to 90 minutes of HD data per camera. Users can trigger video and data recordings based on external inputs, virtual camera-based regions of interest, and thresholds for movement. The Iris CM features live Motion Amplification® and the ability to quantify vibration, amplitude, phase, and frequency for anything visible in the recorded video. This product uniquely allows people to troubleshoot transient events and visualize your assets over longer periods of time like no tool has before. Unlike traditional continuous monitoring systems, the Iris CM does not have to be permanently mounted and does not have to touch any of your equipment at all. Once you solve the root cause, pick the system up, move it to another asset, and start all over again.

About RDI Technologies, Inc.

RDI Technologies is pioneering the camera as the sensor of the future because visualization is faster, safer, and makes the complex more simple. Our proprietary technology platform powered by Motion Amplification® enables our users to see and measure motion that is impossible to see with the human eye and could previously only be measured by contacting sensors. Our products combine the power of modern cameras with our software to turn what used to be complex charts and graphs into easy to understand video data that enables our users to quickly and safely solve their toughest problems and communicate the results.
