The Technology Leader Releases a New Customer-Centric Software Update
Knoxville, Tenn. – April 26, 2021- RDI Technologies, Inc., the inventor of the Motion Amplification® platform technology, is releasing a new software update. Version 3.2 enhances users’ ability to analyze asset performance and comprehensively troubleshoot asset problems with the entire line of Iris products. The company believes in the power of combining customer feedback with cutting-edge technology, which is the driving force of this new software release.
RDI Technologies’ patented technology platform turns every pixel in a camera into a sensor enabling users to see and measure motion impossible to see with the human eye.
“With this release, we’re adding capabilities that allow users to view things that have never been seen before. Which enables users to solve more problems in a visual and intuitive nature,” said Jeff Hay, CEO of RDI Technologies, Inc. “Visualization is what makes our products so effective and differentiates them from everything else in the market.”
Key Features in the 3.2 Software Release:
Best-in-Class Digital Image Stabilization: Cutting edge image stabilization techniques have been developed and implemented to address environmental challenges such as flexible floors or mounting surfaces. Applying this post-processing technique will further enhance the stability and clarity of the data and video.
Phase Overlay: With the newest version of Motion Amplification analysis software, you can now graphically display relative phase throughout the image for a specified frequency. Similar to Motion Map (available in 3.0), the new Phase Map feature allows the user to visualize relative phase as different colors across the entire image and easily see elements that are out of phase as opposite colors. This gives the user quick access to approximate phase relationships without the use of ROIs.
Difference Plots: Provides users the ability to determine relative motion between multiple ROIs.
Metrology (Ruler – Distance & Angle): Users can overlay distances and angles onto videos and document the distances between objects within an image. This feature can also determine angles between critical lines or features within an image.
Audio Enabled Video Editing: Narration and background music can be added to Motion Studio Projects, enhancing users’ ability to tell the story and report findings within the exported mp4.
“In this release, we also focused a lot of effort on user experience updates centered around making the video creation process smooth and simple from data capture to data export for our customers,” said Jenna Johns, COO of RDI Technologies, Inc.
This release includes multiple usability features that allow users to enhance post-processing recordings, export content into numerous formats, add logos and annotations, and more.
The 3.2 software release also includes the functionality to take advantage of two new hardware add-ons that enhance the capabilities of the Iris M and improve your ability to solve your real-world issues.
New Hardware Add-ons:
Laser Tach: The integration can be used to “freeze” the shaft or blade, and nonsynchronous motion can also be amplified.
Iris Color Camera: This allows users to capture videos using Motion Amplification®, in color.

About RDI Technologies, Inc.
RDI Technologies is pioneering the camera as the sensor of the future because visualization is faster, safer, and makes the complex more simple. The company’s proprietary technology platform powered by Motion Amplification® enables users to see and measure motion that is impossible to see with the human eye and could previously only be measured by contacting sensors. Products combine the power of modern cameras with software to turn what used to be complex charts and graphs into easy-to-understand video data that enables users to quickly and safely solve their toughest problems and communicate the results.
