CBM CONNECT Webinar: Transient, DC Motion and Vibration Using Motion Amplification

October 12, 2022 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm EDT

Monitoring the vibration behavior of large rotating machinery is an effective way to reduce production losses and enhance safety, efficiency, reliability, availability, and longevity in the manufacturing processes. When analyzing vibrations with accelerometers and data collectors, the data output is dependent on measuring faults, movements, and conditions that happen consistently or repeatedly. (Such as the repeated impacts of a roller on the spall on the inner race of a bearing.) Situations or conditions that do not happen repeatedly can be band passes or averaged out of vibration data or require special configurations to be programmed in the data collector, creating complexities when harvesting this data. Transient conditions, random, non-cyclical motion, DC motion, or movements and vibrations occurring from 0 Hz (CPM) can be difficult to measure effectively with traditional vibration data collectors.

During this webinar, you will see how easily, with the use of a Motion Amplification® camera and Transient Motion Capture software, your team can record transient asset data in addition to cyclical data for a more complete picture of the asset condition and overall performance.
