Advanced Motion Amplification®Training

October 13 @ 8:00 am - October 15 @ 4:00 pm EDT

RDI’s Advanced Motion Amplification® Training helps students cross the gap between simply knowing how to use the basic components of the system, to actually solving problems related to structures, rotating machinery, and piping. Learn Advanced Motion Amplification Analysis techniques to help make you a more successful Motion Amplification Analyst.

Over three days our experienced instructors will cover the following:

  • Identifying Common Machinery Faults with Motion Amplification
  • Advanced Signal Processing
  • Advanced Data Collection
  • Resonance Testing
  • Piping and Pipe Support Analysis
  • Auto HDR Filtering
  • Phase Analysis
  • Adding and Using Objects
  • Anti-Aliasing Techniques
  • Transient Analysis
  • Long Term Acquisition and Analysis
  • Presentation of Motion Amplification Case Histories

Newly Added! Troubleshooting Workshop:
The entire morning on the third day of training will now be devoted to our new Troubleshooting Workshop. In this workshop students will get a chance to access data from real industrial equipment and use our tools to reach analytical conclusions. Our instructor will share valuable insights into how the proper diagnosis can be achieved in a number of different situations.

Advanced Motion Amplification® Training Requirements:

  • Students must have already taken the Basic Motion Amplification® Certification Course and passed the Level I Motion Amplification Certification.
  • Students should bring their own Acquisition Unit (with at least 50 GB of free storage
  • space) to the class.
  • Near the conclusion of the third day of training, students will be given an opportunity to take the Level II Motion Amplification® Certification Exam.
  • Students who pass this interactive written exam will be issued an official RDI Level II Motion Amplification
  • Certification and will be eligible to have their name listed on our website as a Level II Motion Amplification Analyst. There is no added cost for the exam.
  • A general understanding of Basic Vibration Analysis concepts and terminology will be extremely helpful. Although it is not a technical prerequisite for taking the class, it is highly recommended that students be Category I certified in vibration analysis before attending.
